Change...

via
I just wanted to share a quick update. I have has such a hard time getting myself to blog in the past month or so. I haven't been on Instagram posting and scrolling and I haven't been planning new content for The Black Barcode either. School has been very hard and stressful, plus that is my main priority at this time, but I just have been feeling unmotivated lately. I think one of the reasons is this pressure to be "perfect", to wear the perfect outfit, to have the best quality photos and just to overall keep up with the leaders in the blogging world. But after a long talk with my mom, I realized that that wasn't the reason I started a blog in the first place. The whole reason was because I wanted to have a diary/journal to keep my thoughts and mostly my daily outfits all in one places so I could look back and see it. So from here on out, that is what I am going to do, I am going to wear the outfits I want to wear, not just because everyone else is and I feel pressure to keep up with them, post content I want to share and not worry about if my photos are the best of quality. I can't afford a $5,000 camera and most people can't, but I shouldn't have to feel like I can't post what I want to because the quality won't meet what others have.

In this coming year, you will be seeing more travel posts, reviews, affordable fashion, book recommendations, health post and honestly whatever I want to post.  In the world of social media, it is hard to be unique sometimes and can feel like you have to keep up with the Joneses. But it doesn't have to be that way, just be you.
