Burgundy X Burgundy

Oh Hey! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! It was nice to finally have a break yesterday to catch up on house stuff like laundry and thank you notes. Saturday night I went to a vegetarian/vegan restaurant with my friend Chloe, it was so delicious! I ordered the  General Tso's Cauliflower, which is cauliflower instead of chicken, you couldn't even tell the difference and it was amazing! I am going back there again for sure!

I ordered this pair of shoes for the holiday's and just winter months, I cannot wait to get them! They are a new arrival but are going so quickly, my size has sold out 3 days in a row and when I finally saw they were in stock yesterday I had to go for it! I love the print and of course the scallop detailing! Other options I considered were this pair (selling out quickly as well!) and this pair. I am trying to stop myself from getting these too!

The jacket I am wearing above is fully stocked and now in 6 new colors! It feels like it is a $1,000 jacket, such great quality and a piece I will have in my closet for year. If you are thinking about getting one, jump on it! You won't regret it!

The New Excursion Vest

J.Crew Excursion Quilted Vest in Flannel Wayf Lace-Up Shirtdress (similar here) Boden  Leggings Tory Burch Amanda Riding Boots Prima Donna tote, old (similar here & here) Karen Walker Deep Freeze Sunglasses Michael Kors 'Large Lexington' Chronograph Bracelet Watch, 45mm

Is it officially vest season? I'd say it is pretty close! This is the only excursion vest I have bought this year and actually sold 3 of my old ones so I think that's fair. I have a serious addiction to these vest and right now they are 25% off and everything else at J.Crew with code 'shopnow'. If you don't already know, I am trying to save some money this week to go for future things like traveling or big purchases. Overall I am doing really well, except when J.Crew had a 30% off sale and I bought this Mini Skirt in Oxford Check and this Sailor Skirt in Double-Serge Wool. Both are going to fit right in with my current closet situation and will be great the this transition into winter. I will probably pair both with either the leggings I am currently wearing or a pair of tights!

Anyways, I have been super busy with school lately, I have a huge Econ test tomorrow which has me stressed out. I am also trying to get a lot of my old clothes sold or donated so I can declutter my closet = my life, which is a very time consuming process.

Extra Edgy

Over the weekend I signed up for my Winter semester classes, a little bummed because I will be having class from 12-9pm. But there is no way to change that because they aren't really offer many online classes and the time slots are very flexible. Today I have a couple assignments I am working on and hopefully, I motivate myself to go to the gym, but I really don't see that happening.

I wore basically this whole outfit with a different shirt over the weekend. Saturday night Eric and I went to a karaoke place to celebrate his friends birthday. It was really fun since you would rent out the whole room. We also went to a yummy dessert place and got churros with caramel dipping sauce, it was so good. These booties are the best for being on your feet all night and my jeans are the perfect going out pair!

My Favorite Cozy Cardi!

BP. Open Front Cardigan BP. Sleeveless Plaid Shirtdress Boden Leggings Tory Burch Amanda Riding Boots Prima Donna tote, old (similar here)Ray-Ban 'Original Aviator' 58mm Sunglasses Michael Kors 'Large Lexington' Chronograph Bracelet Watch, 45mm

I have such a hard time layering sometimes but the easiest way for me to layer is with leggings and a cardigan. Now that it's November the temperature has been cooler and I am having a harder time getting dressed for school since I'm not sure if I will be warm enough, so layering is the easiest way. This is for sure my favorite  cardigan and my mom and sister both have one also haha!

If you read Wednesday's post I mentioned how I am trying to spend no money this November, I have given myself a daily budget of $10, which has been a little challenging but not has hard as I thought it would be. With the Holidays and trips coming up in the next couple of months, November seemed to be the perfect month to start saving and really think about the difference between wants and needs. Today I am headed to the store to make some returns of clothing I really don't need but bought. I love shopping and getting new clothes every week, but I need to take a step back and really re-wear clothing that I already own and love!

Some other things I am trying to do in November is to drink more water. At the start of January I made sure to drink the daily amount, which is eight eight-ounce glasses daily, I usually ended up drinking a lot more. But in the Summer I lost track and wasn't drinking much water at all which I could really tell a difference in my skin, sleep and energy levels. Now seemed to be the perfect time to get back on track. The easiest way to drink get your daily amount of water in your system is to just carry a large water bottle with you everywhere you go. It may be a chore at first, but soon you'll be craving water! Have a wonderful weekend!

Fall Leaves and Florals

...and I am back! After a super fun long weekend in NYC, I am back to my normal life. It was such a great trip and I can't wait to share a Travel recap with you! The past two days I have been catching up on sleep, like 3 naps a day catching up. Today I have a lot of errands to run and homework to get ahead on. The weather has been pretty insanely nice, 75 degrees in November? I'll take it, but seriously, I love wearing dresses without having to wear tights or leggings underneath to keep warm.

For the month of November I am going to try to spend less, eat healthier (aka not eat out and spend money), and get back into the habit of working out. I have felt so unmotivated lately and now it the time to get myself back on track!
