The Perfect Navy Cardi

Today is a cooler day but the sun is out so I am dressing like it is warm. I decided that this cardigan from Erin Louise would be the perfect piece to work into the look. It is navy, longer and cozy so it was perfect! I also love the zipper detailing on the front.

Tonight I plan to get my hair done, I am just not sure what yet. I kind of think I may go lighter, but at the same time I might want to try a style that is completely different. I guess you will see what will happen.

Palm Leaves by Palm Trees

This is the perfect throwback post of throwback Thursday. I totally forgot I had taken these when I was on my trip in Florida. I wore this on the trip from Palm Beach to Miami and the dress was comfortable to sit in for the ride. I also love the high neck and the key hole back. Overall I had an amazing trip to and cannot wait to go back!

In other news, I am done with school for the semester. Since I did which my major, I have more classes to take and have four to do this summer. They start next week and end the last week in July. I am not very excited, but they are all online and that means I am closer to graduation. Glad to have this week of "Summer" break.

Gaga For Gingham

One | Two | Three | Four | Five | Six | Seven | Eight | Nine | Ten | Eleven

So today I thought I'd show you some of my favorite gingham items for Spring. As you can probably tell, this is a huge trend for this Spring and coming Summer seasons. I love gingham and have for awhile but now I can find it anywhere! When I was at J.Crew on Monday I ended up getting this gingham skirttunic and bag. The bucket bag is seriously to die for! It is even better in person and everything listed above is currently 30% off and 40% off sale style with the code 'SCORE'!

I also have found great gingham pieces at Old Navy like this matching set which will be coming to a blog near you as soon as the weather is warmer. They also have these cute dress pants and peplum top, plus everything at Old Navy is always on sale so you're bound to get a great deal! I was just there this past weekend and got the cutest dress for $11 and a peplum tank for $8. Everything at Old Navy is currently 30%  off with code 'THANKYOU'.

The last place that has some great gingham pieces is Ann Taylor. I don't shop there, but I am currently love their adorable heels and slingback flats, their fancy matching set and a dress perfect for the office! I hope you were able to find something you like, let me know if you love this gingham trend or if it is to much! Happy shopping!

Coral and Green

Seriously, army green and coral are my favorite color combo of the moment. It was pretty sunny when I did photos so you probably can't even tell that my espadrilles are coral. I did a major closet clean out this past weekend and got out all of my Spring and Summer clothing, the only down fall is now I am in the shopping mood (wait, when am I not?). With Summer I like to stick to the classic pieces and usually the color palette of red, white and blue just because they work well together and are timeless.

I am headed to J.Crew this morning to try on some items I have been eyeing. Here are a couple of my favorites: this adorable gingham bucket bag, this gingham moto jacket, of course the gingham skirt, and this raceback tank dress in both the navy and red! J.Crew is really on point lately, oh and everything mentioned is 30% off! There is 40% off sale styles and 50% off final sales. As a bonus, free shipping today only! So if there is anything you are eyeing, now is the time to buy.

Outfit Inspiration: Girls Brunch + Weekend Sales

One | Two | Three | Four | Five

We made it through the week! Hooray! For the past two outfit inspiration posts they have featured an off the shoulder dress (see the posts here and here) so I decided not to do that today, but for those who love off the shoulder things, the shirt above can be! See what I did there? Anyways, I had to have that shirt in my life and ordered it last night. It has beautiful lace detailing and currently I am loving anything white! If you are interested order it now! For only $36 it is going fast, only 4 left (when I ordered last night there were only 9 left).

I made a lot of returns this week so I may have to get my hand on these babies well they are on sale, but I am not sure how I feel about the height. I may give them a go. Well on the subject of shoes, from the Saks Fifth Ave friends and family sale picked up two pairs of Soludos. I wanted a new pair of slip ons and found these and then I couldn't decide which I liked better, so I ordered this lace up pair also because they are adorable and are on sale! So the slip on pair (I bought them in the cognac color) I have worn for two days now and it is safe to say they were a great buy! Easy to slip in and out and feel great on my feet. They also are just a great addition to my closet because you can seriously never have enough cognac shoes.

I have been cleaning out my closet and got rid of a ton of stuff, I think in May I am going to try and challenge myself to not spend any money on clothing for the whole month, maybe with the exception of thrift shopping, but I haven't decided yet. The closet clean out is no way over with, I always go through it a couple of times, wish I didn't feel like I had to hang on to things, it would make things so much easier! Oh, one more thing. I have always liked Madewell, but when I went in there this week I fell in love! There are so many things I have added to my wish list (on the wish list because each item is a small fortune), and some are currently on sale!

Overalls and Off the Shoulder + Collab

Today I have teams up with Madeleine of Luluista Fashion to show you how to style off the shoulder pieces. If you didn't already know, off the shoulder is a huge trend right now. I mean huge! I am right on board with them, I think I have added four new tops to my collection. I love this trend because it looks great on everyone and it's affordable. Plus there are so many options of ways to style them. I went with overalls because I felt it gave it a cute vibe and was a different way of styling the piece. It would look cute with flare jeans or a skirt as well. Seriously anything!

I love the dress Madeleine is wearing! I actually bought the top version of that this past weekend. But I love the way she took the dress and added a pair of sneakers to the look. You can style that one piece so many different ways!

Be sure to head over to Luluista Fashion and follower her on Instagram @luluisrafashion

Who What Wear Women's Minimal Moto Jacket Who What Wear Women's Bateau Tee Old Navy The Rockstar Super Skinny Jeans Restricted Shoes Get Away Flats*coupon code below Cuyana Classic Leather Tote Baublebar Hibiscus Y-Chain Necklace Karen Walker Super Duper Strength Sunglasses

By the title of today's post you must be thinking "a get away? To where?" Nope, not going anywhere but I sure wish I was. Actually, it's the name of these cute flats from Restricted Shoes. I have always wanted a pair of cut out flats and finally I got my hands on a pair. They are comfortable and easy to walk in. If you are in between sizes, size down. They run a little big. Also a pair of white shoes are the perfect addition to anyones Spring wardrobe, they go with everything! If white isn't the color for you they also come in mustardblack and cognac!

In other news, I have been doing more shopping (I know crazy...). But I want to do a round up of look for less items or a budget series because I have been saying to myself to much lately "those look just like the pair of shoes that cost $220+ but for $20." For example my sunglasses, you can get the same pair here for $12! Like hello!? What a deal (plus free shipping...bonus!). So if you are interested let me know or just check back!

Don't forget to use the coupon code 'BLACKBARCODE25' for 25% off at Restricted Shoes till April 30th!
