So I made it to Connecticut! After a long day of travel I made it. More on that later. I finally got to wear this cute top from Chicwish. I of course had to pair them with the very popular wedges that I swear everyone has and now you can too! They are now back in stock with most sizes and colors here.
I am so excited because tonight I leave for my trip! Of course last night I had to do some last minute shopping. I picked up this dress, a pair of white Converse and a few things from Plato's Closet, which is a consignment shop by me. I really didn't need anything, but you know, now I'll have things to wear. I actually own a pair of black and a pair of pink Converse that I have had since middle school that I never wear anymore, but the white classic pair I could not resist! Plus I will be doing lots of walking so they will be much needed.
I also of course left packing to the last minute. I was up at 1am still trying to get everything together. Let's face it, I still am not packed, so that will be happening 15min before I leave for the airport. Today I decided to try out this newish trend, bell sleeve were a huge hit in the Spring and now they have brought the bell sleeves even higher (like the one I am wearing). J.Crew has many options, but I love this one from Chicwish. I am wearing a size medium (4/6) for reference and it fits perfectly!

So tomorrow night I leave for my trip and seriously have no idea what to pack. I am going through one of those phases where nothing looks good and I have "nothing to wear". Whenever I say that my sister just looks at me like I am insane. I may have to do some last minute shopping tonight. I recently picked up this super cute tunic/dress from Chicwish. It has it listed as a dress, but I felt it was a little to short of my taste. I could have just worn shorts under but I opted for a tunic look. If you like this dress, which has adorable pineapples on it, that I would size up for sure. Just so the length will work. I seriously is such a comfy piece to have, but there are only a couple left, so pick your's up here!
Thats all for now, I have to finish up on homework and of course get to packing, which will probably end up happening hours before the flight. But it has to get done. Stick around to find out what I end up packing!
So it has been a little while since I lasted blogged. I have been keeping up on Instagram (follow along: @TheBlackBarcode) but I just haven't had time to post on here. This week I am actually headed on a fun trip to visit on of my best friends! With that trip coming up I had been catching up with my school stuff so I wouldn't have to do that well on vacay. One of my online classes is over on Sunday so it is seriously crunch time. I have a few for things to get done by Wednesday which has kept me super busy.
In other news, I have been just working a ton lately, picking up any shifts I can get. With that I am trying to stay balanced and work out 1 to 2 times a day. I usually will do cardio at the gym for 45-60min and than a strength exercise. I switch from doing my BBG workout and a Jillian Michaels DVD. Both are hard work, but make me feel better about myself. More to come on my workout routine if interested. I really need to just start eating healthier. I have gotten better the last few weeks, but just not where I need to be.
The weather has pretty great lately so I opted for these cute shorts and shirt combo. The shirt is actually cropped, which I don't really like, so I ordered a size up and it works perfectly. I will be posting hopefully everyday this week, so check back tomorrow.
It has been a busy past few days. Of course I had a ton of homework to do, it's never ending. Yesterday I had a little pamper day and got eyelash extensions for the first time (more on that later), and a mani and pedi. That pedicure was MUCH needed, I just hadn't found the time to go do it. Other than that, the weekend was pretty uneventful.

This is the last part to the three part series I did with Cara of Caralina Style. We styled the matching sets together, just the bottom piece and now the top pieces so show you three different ways to style your matching set. Like I've mentioned in the previous post, I love this set. It is really comfortable and keeps me cool on a hot day, which we have been having a lot of lately where I live. This top is more cropped than I like, so I sized up and now it is the perfect length. It is more cropped than a regular shirt, but if you pair it with high waisted shorts or jeans like I have, there are no problems!
