Viv & Lou

Being a monogramholic isn't always easy. Monogram pieces have become really expensive, and sometimes take awhile to get to you house, when I say awhile I mean 2 months. I found this company Viv & Lou and I must say they have the most affordable prices out there! Not only is everything pictured under $20, they are shipped fast and they are packaged so nicely, definitely Instagram worthy!

As mentioned in my post Perfect Pairs where I styled this beautiful monogram scarf, I said I wasn't much of a scarf person, but after receiving this I guess I am now! I absolutely love the colors and just they way the monogram appears! Plus the scarf is so soft, and warm which is a bonus for these cold winter days!

I try and wear a monogram necklace everyday, usually going with a simple gold necklace, but this pearl monogram necklace is the perfect statement piece that's classy and personal! I love the tortoise color and just the script! I was skeptical at first, not knowing what to wear with it, but it has quickly become my go to monogram piece!

If you are on Instagram and follow any account that is preppy,  you would have seen this monogram envelope bag already, but I guarantee they didn't get it for $12! It's such a unique bag, not only is it a clutch, it comes with a wrist strap and a cross body chain, perfect for a night out! The best part is you get to customize it any way you like,  game day colors anyone?

Are you a monogramholic?

Burgundy Fur

What I Wore: Hat: Asos / Fur Vest: T.J Maxx (Similar/ Pants: J.Crew / Sweater: The Gap / Boots: DSW / Sunnies: Kate Spade

Fashion week just ended, and as much and I, and probably everyone else wanted to be there, we just weren't invited (maybe next time!) This outfit is something I would have loved to wear if I was there. The Faux fur vest is so glam and it's warm, plus it was on clearance at T.J Maxx! I was also excited to receive this floppy hat I ordered awhile back! If you read my post about Recent Purchases you would have seen it there! It's even more amazing in person!

Perfect Pairs

What I Wore: Scarf: Viv & Lou / Shirt: Old Navy / Pants: Old Navy / Boots: Hunters / Bag: Celine / Sunnies: Kate Spade

As you probably can tell if you have been reading my blog, I love monograms (here) and red. Seriously, it maybe becoming an unhealthy problem. I just really love how red just makes any look pop!

This Scarf I especially love! Viv & Lou has affordable monogram pieces, this scarf was only $16! What an amazing deal, and the material is so soft and comfortable. I'm not really a huge scarf fan, well I take that back, I just don't know how to wear scarves, but this is perfect! It's an infinity scarf, and you can choose the color monogram you want, and scarf color. Since recently all I wear are these  Hunter boots, this scarf will be it's perfect pair!

This look is perfect for a casual Valentine's Day outfit. If you have no big plans and are just shopping or hanging with friends, be comfortable and cute with pops of pink and red!

Valentine's Day Gift Guide For Him

Picking out gifts for guys is a pretty challenging task, I'm lucky my boyfriend isn't picky and appreciates all the silly wacky gifts I give him. If you're not into doing DIY projects (which I have been lately) then here are some go to gifts for guys this Valentine's day.

I kind of cheated with this post and just added things to the list that my boyfriend already owns, and loves. If you're looking for a cologne for the man in your life, go with the Ralph Lauren Polo Black, it's amazing, and if you stop in at Ulta Beauty, they usually have a set for a great deal, the set includes the full size bottle and a travel size. Ulta usually has some sort of promotion, or free gift (I got a free robe!) So start there!

What kind of gifts are good for guys on Valentine's Day?

Buffalo Plaid

What I Wore: Black Shirt: Old Navy / Leggings: Danskin / Boots: DSW / Plaid Shirt: Thrifted (Similar/ Sunnies:Kate Spade / Necklace: Unknown (Similar/ Bracelet: David Yurman

Buffalo plaid was a huge trend that started up in fall and is continuing on. If you follow any bloggers on Instagram, they are always doing days were you use a hashtag like #buffaloplaidshirtday. There was one just the other day styling buffalo plaid vest (guilty!) I decided to try something different with this top, which was purchased at my local thrift store. The shirt is a little big on me so I thought this was the perfect opportunity to turn an all black outfit (aka my winter uniform) into a edgy look.

As a challenge to you, try styling pieces in a different way!
